PAS: My Ex-Wife Kidnapped My Child

My story is way to long for your blog, but here is my story with most of the details removed so I don't hog up the whole day.

12-years ago, when my son was 4 and without warning, my ex left with him. I was in complete shock. I had no idea where to turn, what to do - I had no idea what had happened. I can't begin to tell you the immense shock to a person's system. You think the worst.

It wasn't long before I realized that she just wanted out of the marriage. Still, I had no idea where she had gotten to. After nearly $100,000, private investigators, international travel, I had tracked her to Europe. 2-years later.

Yes, like something out of a spy novel, I managed to track them down and laid out a plan to get my son back. Let's just say that normal means didn't work. Eventually, with the help of friends, we flew to their location, picked him up and returned to the United States. (Long before I was "awarded custody" despite her never attending a hearing and being in another country.)

It took a while to undo all of the "anti-dad" damage that was done, but a good therapist and a lot of love and dedication turned things around. He does well in school. Is a big, bright young man, and we literally haven't heard from her since I whisked him back to the United States. Frankly, I wouldn't have it any other way.
