You will not believe this, I didn't.
A couple of years ago I was planning a special vacation for my son and I. I worked a really long time to save up and plan a really fun week. As the time got closer and I was trying to get my son excited, he seemed to be pulling away from me saying he was scared to go. I didn't understand, I mean it is every kids dream to go to Disney World! I reassured him that he didn't have to ride any scary rides, he would be able to pick everything he went on, reminded him of all his favorite Disney characters he would meet, etc.
Turns out, his Mother had been telling him that I was planning on killing him at Disney. How do I combat that?! The courts didn't care, and if I made him go with me I would be damaging him more than his Mother already did! Parental alienation is so awful on the kids, thank you so much for doing this. I hope someone is listening out there who can change this.

My PEH did something similar this past spring break.. I was planning a trip to Florida to visit my parents, My PEH, told my 8 yr old son that alligators go into the swimming pools at night, and he could get bit and that he would fall off the boat into the lake with alligators...
My son was terrified and didn't want to go on vacation.. We did go, and when we had a good time, and he found out his dad lied to him, he was very, very angry.. so much so, he said he didn't want to visit dad when we got home.. uggghh!
